Reformation Study
Correspondence Course

WELCOME Fellow Advent Believer,

Grace and peace be unto you.

You have before you 19 lessons of a unique study course conducted by correspondence.  This course may well have a profound effect on your spiritual experience in the present truth of the threefold angel's message.

This course has been prepared under much prayer and is sent forth to you in the fear of the Lord in the belief that what is offered here is of the greatest value to every sincere Seventh-day Adventist.  Many things that may have puzzled you for a long time - questions that have remained unanswered - will find their solution in this study of the reformatory work which God calls for.  We feel certain that as you progress in this course you will realize the great value of its contents.

To give you a fair idea as to the scope of the course, here are some of the highlights:

The Reason for Reform The Christian and the War
The 1888 Conference The Remnant
Events after 1888 The Laodicean Message
Laodicea and the Shaking The Angel of Revelation 18

We do not consider this study course a one-way street but sincerely hope that you will freely comment on the material as you answer the study questions that come with each lesson.  Also, we welcome questions on reformation-related topics in general.

Here are the steps to follow to obtain the maximum learning from the Course:

  1. Before beginning each lesson, pray for divine guidance in understanding Reformation in God's word.
  2. Study the material in Lesson 1 thoroughly before attempting to answer the questions for that lesson.  As you study the lessons, you will notice immediately that some of the Bible texts are written out, whereas others are not.  For the greatest benefit, I urge you to look up in your own Bible ALL the Bible texts given (printed in bold type), whether they are written out or not.  Thus you will see for yourself in God's word the truths presented.  Turning to the questionnaire after studying the entire lesson, try to answer as many questions as possible from memory.  Then refer back to the lesson material to answer those you were unsure of and to check the ones you answered from memory.
  3. Complete the questionnaire for Lesson 1 before beginning Lesson 2; continue through the Course in this way.  Feel free to write down questions and/or comments that will help you better understand the Reformation lessons.  I will be answering you personally.
  4. Submit the completed questionnaire.
Upon receiving your completed answer form(s), I will check your answers, make any comments that can be of help to you, and return the checked answers by e-mail.

In doing this work we firmly believe that we are fulfilling the will of God to present vital truths to God's professed people in these last days.  It is our sincere desire and prayer that these lessons will prove a rich blessing to you as you study, and lead you to belong to the company of overcomers which will be ready to meet Christ at His return.

God bless you as you search His great Book for the truths of Reformation!  I look forward to receiving your first completed answer forms!

Sincerely,
International Missionary Society
